This scholarship of up to $5,000 is awarded to one student per year.

Criteria

• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Enrolled in a business program, including Business Management, Small Business Management, Business Technology, International Business, Accounting, Human Resources and/or Purchasing and Supply Management.
• Enrolled for a minimum of nine credits. Preference given to full-time students (12 credits).
• Preference given to African American students.
• Recipient may be considered for a paid internship opportunity at Amsdell Companies. Arrangements to be determined between Amsdell and scholarship recipient.

Established in recognition of Aramark’s longstanding partnership with 91ºÚÁÏÍø, this fund supports students in Tri-C’s Hospitality Management and Dietetic Technology programs. Aramark is a leader in professional services, providing award-winning food services, facilities management and uniform and career apparel to health care institutions, universities and school districts, stadiums and arenas, and businesses around the world.

Criteria

• Enrolled in a credit-bearing Hospitality Management or Dietetic Technology program.

Established to recognize K. Michael Benz for his numerous contributions to 91ºÚÁÏÍø, the Tri-C Foundation and the Greater Cleveland community. Benz has served as chairperson of the Tri-C Foundation, a director of the Foundation, and a member of the Tri-C Board of Trustees.

• Enrolled in small-business management courses

Established by the Boiardi family in honor of the late Hector Boiardi, a world‐renowned chef and developer of food products marketed under the trade name Chef Boyardee.

• Demonstrated serious interest in culinary arts/hospitality management.

Established by Tri-C alumna and instructor Claressa Collins, who believes that Tri-C students will make a difference in our community.

• Enrolled in computer studies and/or accounting courses.
• Award based on merit. Applicants not required to demonstrate financial need.

Established in honor of Tri-C Foundation Board Chairperson Don Misheff on the occasion of his retirement from Ernst & Young and his wife, Cindy, for her commitment to giving back to the community. This scholarship reflects Don Misheff’s strong belief that a community’s economy is strengthened through access to educational and workforce training opportunities. Helping young people gain access to education is one of the top priorities for corporate responsibility at Ernst & Young, a global leader in assurance, tax, transactions and advisory services.

Established to reflect the Foltins’ commitment to helping people build better lives through accessible educational opportunities. Craig Foltin, Ph.D., has devoted his career to public service and education. A former mayor of Lorain, Ohio, he previously served Tri-C as Executive Vice President of Administration and Finance and as College Provost.

• Plans to transfer to a four-year college.
• Preference given to students majoring in accounting. Applicants enrolled in the Associate of Arts program with an emphasis in business will be considered.

Established in honor of former Tri-C Hospitality Management professor Mary Louise Coyne and in memory of John R. Schultz.

• Completed financial accounting and managerial accounting courses.
• Submit personal narrative along with scholarship application.

Established to help develop future leaders in the hospitality industry, this fund is generously supported by Douglas Kern and Northern Haserot.

Northern Haserot and its sister companies process and distribute more than 15,000 food and non-food items to the foodservice industry — primarily restaurants, hotels, clubs, and health care accounts.

The company has established itself as the supplier of choice to the progressive foodservice customer. Northern Haserot has also successfully developed and marketed the first in-house, web-based, fully integrated sales and customer communication link.

• Pursuing a degree or certificate in a hospitality management program at Tri-C.
• Enrolled for at least nine credits per semester.

Established in recognition of Oatey Company’s partnership with 91ºÚÁÏÍø. Recipients are recognized as Oatey Scholars.

Since 1916, Oatey has provided reliable, high-quality products for the residential and commercial plumbing industries. Today, Oatey operates a comprehensive manufacturing and distribution network to supply more than 6,000 products for professional builders, contractors, engineers and do-it-yourself consumers around the world. They offer innovative plumbing solutions that deliver results the first time.

Criteria

• Preference given to students interning at Oatey or spouses domestic partners or children of Oatey employees.
• Priority given to those pursuing degrees/certification in business, construction, engineering, information technology, welding and/or manufacturing.
• Applicant must be in good standing.
• Enrolled for at least six credits per semester (or in a workforce training program leading to certification).
• If scholarship is not awarded by Dec. 1 of each year, eligible Tri-C students will be considered.
• One scholarship awarded per employee family.

Established by A Taste of Excellence to honor the legacy of Michelle Rini, who had a passion for education, the culinary arts and helping individuals find their pathway to success.

• Minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Pursuing a degree or certificate in a culinary arts program at Tri-C.
• Enrolled for at least nine credits per semester.
• Preference given to recent high school graduates.

Established in memory of Lowell Arnold Watkins, who led and taught in the Business Management department at Metropolitan Campus for more than 25 years.
